1 John 2:1

"My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."

I think a common mistake is that once you become a Christian, you will sin no more. Once you realize that isn't true, you become disenchanted and may waiver in your faith.

We must realize that we will all sin and fall short even after accepting Christ. I think the biggest problem is if you do sin, you push it away or wave it off and do not attempt to change your behavior...that's what we should worry about.

But know that Jesus died for our sins, the sins of our past, the sins today, and for the ones in the future.

There is no such thing as a perfect Christian, but we do realize that when we fail, we have an advocate for us on our behalf...Jesus.
